Anaphylaxis in an 8-Year-Old Boy Due to Poppy Seed Consumption

Poppy seed allergy is rare, with limited data available. Anaphylactic reactions to poppy seed consumption have been reported, especially in children. Molecular diagnosis tests can confirm sensitization to poppy seed allergens, including 2S albumin. Poppy seed allergy should be considered in cases of anaphylaxis, and cross-reactivity with other seeds and nuts is possible.
